This may be hard to believe, but until this month, I belonged right one from point Sportsman. Isn’t that just a scam? For as much as the team raaaaaves about the brand — heck, as much everyone i know raves about the brand. I’ve filled my cart many times…and then never…actually…checked out?
It should be noted. the one item i already own, a gift from my mom, is a super cool high cut maxi dress/mini skirt hybrid that i’ve worn to everything from concerts in las vegas to hikes in hong kong. , so I knew Athleta was clearly on to something when it came to active pieces that wore like real clothes, but dang hot.
I totally get the hype now.
5 awesome Athleta must-haves for on and off the trail
bra (small AC) |: pants (2) bag (new colors)
Everything I’m wearing here is going to be in extremely frequent rotation when the school year starts and I need pieces that can transition right into working out (or working from home). But until then, they were just as perfect for jogging with the dog or hiking through the woods with the little ones as they were for strolling the farmer’s market and going on city adventures with the girls.
In short, these five pieces are definitely performance driven. But so do they cuteand between Athleta’s thoughtful details, ideal fit, and gorgeous colors, I’ll take just about any excuse to wear them.
tank (XS) |: bra (small AC) |: pants (2) bag (new colors)
Dig into the details of each of these pieces below, but if you only want one hero piece up front.
It Trekkie high rise pants they are some of the coolest I’ve ever worn. Parachute-y without being overly slouchy, with smart details like zip cuffs, can pockets and a flattering hem. And that dainty, paper bag belt is just beautiful.
OK, let’s go.
tank (XS)
Aptly named this Main tank really as good as a white tank. (Luckily, it’s also available in nine other colors.) It’s cut beautifully, hits right at the hip, and comes off the body just enough. I also love the seam detail that runs the length of the back. And it’s super stretchy and so soft. Wearing XS.
tank (XS) |: leggings (XS) |: bag (new colors)
Athleta’s Salutation leggings have almost a cult following, so I wanted to get my hands on a pair and I’m sold, you guys. I understand.
These Salutation Stash 7/8 Leggings are pushy and supportive without doing everything in your business. They’re also thinner and more “second skin” than I expected, in the best way. Super buttery, too. And the colors! There are so many to choose from, I just want to collect them all.
tank (XS) |: leggings (XS) |: bag (new colors)
The pockets are great too. It’s just deep enough to securely hold a phone or airpods without adding awkward bulk to your lower thighs. They have already become one of my go-to leggings. I’m usually between XS-S and went with the XS after reading reviews.
bra (small AC) |: leggings (XS)
I love a pretty strappy bra and this one Train free bra might have the nicest one i have. And while I thought I’d have to make a fuss about installing the tapes, everything stayed in place without any maintenance.
It’s hard to tell from the photos, but there’s a support seam that also wraps from the front to the sides, so it’s more than just a flat front sports bra. And it’s available in 10 colors and two cup sizes (I’m a 34C and wear a Small AC size).
bra (small AC) |: pants (2) bag (new colors!)
One of my greatest joys as a consumer and wearer in general is finding active pants that are just as exciting, if not more, when worn for non-active pursuits. No, really. This is the stuff that makes my heart race. It causes a bit squeeee from me when I draw them on my body and there they are correct as good as i had hoped.
These Trekkie high rise pants greatly dampen that luxury.
bra (small AC) |: pants (2) bag (new colors!)
The body of the paper bag is draped in an almost elegant way, the slit pockets are deep but quick to access, there’s both an open pocket and a secure pocket on the fluff, and there are zippered vents on the cuffs for airflow (but let’s be real, a they also add a little utilitarian coolness). And they are really high waisted. Which somehow kicks things up a notch (ha, no pun intended).
As such, these would be great travel pants. Perfect for hiking or city trips, but with a little white tank or oversized linen or whatever, they’d be easy, cute, chic. I’m usually a 2/25 in pants and the 2 here fits true to size.
tank (XS) |: leggings (XS) |: bag (new colors)
This Excursion crossbody bag ridiculously well crafted. It’s the perfect size, not too small and not too big, with high-quality ripstop fabric, interior organization pockets, shiny O-rings that dress it up nicely enough and a padded, mesh back (with a hidden pocket perfect for a phone. ), which keeps it cool and breathable when it’s wrapped around your chest.
tank (XS) |: leggings (XS) |: bag (new colors)
It’s not pictured here, but you can easily attach a large water bottle (you know the one) with a small carabiner clip as well. And I love the little handle on the top, which makes it surprisingly easy to change, but is also kind of cute when you carry it like it’s a little bag. My color just ran out, but the brand new shades are ssssss gorgeous! I kind of want to get the Girl Scout color for Lana’s troop cookie sale next year. Under $30 for a limited time only. Atleta Flash Sale ends 7/22!
Drop your favorite Athleta favorites if you have them, friends! I’m hooked.
xo
