Ian Harding stars in Netflix’s Christmas rom-com Our Little Secret, which, funny enough, repeats the biggest problem of his character in Pretty Little Liars. As part of Lindsay Lohan’s creative partnership with Netflix comes Our Little Secret, directed by Stephen Herek and executive produced by Lohan. Our Little Secret introduces the audience to Avery (Lohan) and Logan (Harding), who met when they were kids and formed a strong friendship. With time, this develops into love, but they end up breaking up when Avery gets a job in London and Logan tries to make her stay.
Ten years later, Avery is already back in town and dating Cam (Jon Rudnitsky), while Logan is dating Cassie (Katie Baker). Both Avery and Logan prepare to spend the holidays with their partners’ families, but they have no idea that Cam and Cassie are siblings. Avery and Logan agree not to tell anyone they dated, but their plans take a turn when Cam and Cassie’s younger brother learns about their secret. Logan never stopped loving Avery, but his new relationship repeats the biggest problem of Harding’s character in Pretty Little Liars.
Ian Harding’s Our Little Secret Character Repeats Ezra’s Problem With Dating A Much Younger Student
Ezra & Logan Are Very Different, Though
Ian Harding’s biggest role to date is Ezra Fitz in the mystery teen drama TV series Pretty Little Liars. Set in the fictional town of Rosewood, Pennsylvania, Pretty Little Liars follows four best friends – Aria (Lucy Hale), Emily (Shay Mitchell), Hanna (Ashley Benson), and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) – who, a year after the disappearance of their group leader, Alison (Sasha Pieterse), begin to receive messages from a mysterious person simply known as “A”. Along with the mystery of “A”’s identity and Alison’s disappearance, Pretty Little Liars focuses on the personal lives of its main characters.
Pretty Little Liars
was based on the novel series of the same name by Sara Shepard.
Aria’s main love interest is Ezra Fitz, a teacher at Rosewood High School and later at Hollis College. Aria and Ezra meet at a bar and have an instant connection, but when they learn they are teacher and student, they try to end things but end up hiding their relationship. Despite the age gap and teacher/student power dynamic, Aria and Ezra get a happy ending in Pretty Little Liars and get married and have a family. Now, Our Little Secret repeats this storyline, but with some big differences.

Pretty Little Liars: Summer School Just Destroyed Ezra With 1 Line
Ezra has always been a controversial character in Pretty Little Liars, but Summer School uses his problematic demeanor for a big Imogen twist.
Cassie is a lot younger than Logan, and even Avery makes fun of him dating a college student, though exactly how much older he is than her is unknown. However, the dynamic between Cassie and Logan is a lot healthier and more stable than the one between Ezra and Aria, and eventually, Logan is mature enough to know he and Cassie shouldn’t be together and that the one he wants to be with is Avery.
Our Little Secret Is Ian Harding’s Best Role Since Pretty Little Liars Ended
Ian Harding Has Had A Variety Of Roles Since Pretty Little Liars Ended
Ian Harding was part of Pretty Little Liars from beginning to end, and once the show ended, he took part in a variety of projects. On the big screen, Harding played Nicholas in the horror comedy Office Uprising, a Ford executive in Ford v Ferrari, and Brent in the political satire The Hater. On TV, he played Phillip Davis in Chicago Med, appeared in one episode of Magnum P.I., played Eddie Hagan in the drama series Long Slow Exhale, and appeared in the TV films Ghosts of Christmas Always and The Magic of Lemon Drops.
Despite all these, Harding’s best role since Pretty Little Liars ended is definitely Logan in Our Little Secret. The Netflix movie fully seized Harding’s natural charm and comedic talents, and his chemistry with every character he shares scenes with is undeniable. Logan ended up mirroring Ezra’s controversial relationship, but Logan knew how to handle it a lot better and was a lot more likable than Ezra, who had some questionable moments throughout Pretty Little Liars.
Our Little Secret is a holiday drama in which two resentful exes find themselves spending Christmas together after discovering that their current partners are siblings. The film explores themes of reconciliation and the complexities of family dynamics during the festive season.
