Bola.net – Liverpool successful failure Real Madrid with a score of 2-0 in the 5th day of the League Phase Champions League 2024/2025 at Anfield, Thursday (28/11/2024) early morning WIB.
After no goals were scored in the first half, Liverpool secured victory through goals scored by Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo in the second half.
Liverpool and Real Madrid actually got penalties in the second half. Unfortunately, the executions of Mohamed Salah and Kylian Mbappe could not produce goals.
Thanks to this result, Liverpool has the right to return to the top of the table with a perfect 15 points from five games. Meanwhile, Real Madrid fell to 24th place with 6 points.

In this match, Real Madrid could not be strengthened by its two pillars from Brazil in the front line, namely Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo. Both are suffering from injuries.
Liverpool tried to appear immediately aggressive from the start of the match. Unfortunately, the golden opportunity that Darwin Nunez had when the game was only for four minutes still failed to produce a goal.
Liverpool continued to dominate possession and created a number of opportunities. However, the hosts were unable to score a goal until the match entered the half-time break.

Second Half

Returning from the locker room, Liverpool increasingly terrorized the opponent’s defense. As a result, Mac Allister managed to break the deadlock in the 52nd minute with a goal created by a beautiful build-up process.
Seven minutes later, Real Madrid were awarded a penalty after Lucas Vazquez was fouled by Andy Robertson in the penalty area. Unfortunately, Mbappe’s penalty was blocked by Caoimhin Kelleher.
In the 69th minute, it was Liverpool’s turn to get a penalty after Salah was brought down by Ferland Mendy. Interestingly, this time Salah’s penalty did not result in a goal after going past Thibaut Courtois’ goal.
Liverpool finally managed to double their lead in the 77th minute. A cross sent by Robertson was headed by Gakpo into Courtois’ goal.
No additional goals were scored by either team in the remaining time. The score 2-0 for the victory of Liverpool was the final result of this match.
