She referred to the reputation of our country among its partners, saying that she hoped it would remain intact.
“Our hope is that, regardless of the decisions taken by the Romanian authorities or the candidates in the coming days, Romania’s reputation as a reliable democratic partner in Europe and the Euro-Atlantic community will remain intact ” said the US ambassador.
She also warned that the decisions taken these days should not limit the right of Romanians to freely express their electoral options.
“The fundamental goal of free and fair elections is to ensure that those who govern have a clear mandate from the citizens they represent.
