Former MEP Vlad Gheorghe, leader of the DREPT party, announced on Saturday that he has filed a criminal complaint with the Prosecutor General against the judges of the Constitutional Court for the postponement of the validation of the results of the presidential elections .
“I filed a criminal complaint for abuse of office against those of the CCR! The politicians of the CCR do not have a legal basis for their decision to count, they have no authority that would allow them to do it. The Constitution does not it says nothing to count, nor does the CCR law provide for this RIGHT,” wrote the head of DREPT on his page. Facebook.
“Simply invented a story that, above all, even the challenger did not ask for it,” accused Gheorghe on his Facebook page. It refers to the fact that Cristian Terhesthe candidate who filed the appeal on the basis of which the CCR ordered the recount of all the votes, the cancellation of the first round of the presidential election had been requested.
Vlad Gheorghe also noted that the constitutional judges “had the obligation to validate (or not) the first round of presidential elections within a maximum of 3 days.”
“Not only did they not do this, but, obviously politically, they postponed the decision until after the parliamentary elections. One day, these people will answer for this abuse, for this coup d’état, and I want my complaint to be the basis of this criminal responsibility”, added the politician.
Constitutional Court decided in the meeting on Thursday to request the verification and recount of all votes including valid and void votes in the presidential election.
