Chock Chapple is exploring late in life love on The Golden Bachelorette, and Joan Vassos looks a lot like his late mother. However, the fact that he chose a woman so similar in looks to his beloved mom, whom he misses every day, tells a more romantic story.
Some people do look for partners who have traits they saw in their parents. For example, a man might grow up with a mother who’s a real career woman, and look for that type of female to marry. A man might want a nurturing type, who loves to cook and clean, because his mother did that. There are those who go in the opposite direction, but if a relationship between a mom and child is healthy and happy, it makes sense that that person would want a partner that has things in common with a mom or dad.
Chock‘s mother was a real beauty. Tall and lithe, with gorgeous blond hair, she looked very much like Joan. On Nov. 27th, it was John’s birthday. Joan looked emotional in her car while recording a TikTok. She talked about everything that she was feeling on that day. She was so honest, so graceful about her grief and how she still feels it.
Chock and Joan seem like an excellent match, so the fact that he chose a woman who’s a doppelganger for his late mother seems romantic, rather than odd. He grew up with a blond woman who meant the world to him. Now, he is lucky enough to have another golden-haired female in his life who also adores him. Real love is hard to find and those who have it should treasure it. No one knows this better than Chock and Joan, as they lost beloved partners.
The Golden Bachelorette duo are embarking on a long-distance relationship. They’re not throwing caution to the wind because they’re waiting to marry, but they’re still taking a chance.
