Meteorologists have issued a yellow snow alert, valid until Monday evening, December 9, in the mountain areas of Suceava, Neamţ and Harghita counties. At the same time, ANM announces that it will rain, and the wind will intensify in the north, center, east and south of the country, during this day.
The yellow snow warning comes into effect from 12:00 and is in effect until 23:00. During this time, in the mountain area, in the counties of Suceava, Neamț and Harghita, the snowfall will be significant and a new layer of snow will be deposited (generally 10 … 20 cm).
At the same time, the meteorologists have also published information regarding the moderate amount of precipitation, snow and snow in the mountains and the intensification of the wind, valid until today, at 11:00 pm
In the mentioned interval, it rains in the north, the center, the east and the south of the territory. There will be mixed precipitation in the mountains and passes in the submontane mountains of northern Moldova and eastern Transylvania. In the north of the Eastern Carpathians, and at altitudes above 1700 m and in the rest of the growing area, snow will prevail and a new layer of snow will be deposited.
Amounts of water of 10…20 l/m2 will accumulate locally and more than 25 l/m2 isolated in Moldova. The wind will intensify temporarily, with speeds in general of 40…50 km/h, in Bărăgan, Dobrogea, Moldova, and also in the mountain areas.
