The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) announced that it carried out an operation in the Kerch Bay with the new model of Sea Baby maritime drones, adding that the drones, thanks to automatic sighting technology, managed to shoot down the Russian helicopters sent to destroy them. .
According to the SBU, “on the night of December 5-6, a group of SBU Sea Baby maritime drones attacked Russian Raptor helicopters, aircraft and patrol ships that tried to intercept them.”
“The Russian pilots thought they were hunters and expected an easy hunt, but they became prey as the sea drones fought back. The newest Sea Babies drones have been equipped with heavy machine guns with ballistic programs for automatic sighting and the acquisition of autonomous targets,” said a statement from the Service, which also released images transmitted by drones.

According to the Ukrainians, Russian communications intercepted after the attack indicated that there were dead and wounded on board the helicopters, and that the machines were damaged and in need of major repairs.
The SBU also says that the drones “hit a boat carrying military equipment and equipment for the repair of the Crimean bridge, which the occupants are still trying to restore after previous strikes by the special services Ukrainians”.
“Sea Baby is our multifunctional platform that can accommodate various weapons: multiple launch missile systems, aerial drones and heavy machine guns. Most importantly, it has once again demonstrated its effectiveness. The results of our work are actually much more of what we can show now, but everything will come at the right time,” the Security Service of Ukraine also said.
