Na-bi, on the other hand, just ended her disastrous relationship, so she really isn’t in a place to fall in love with someone like Jae-eon, but the pull he has on her has her ignoring her instincts.
Since the J-drama is a retelling of Na-bi and Jae-eon’s intense relationship, the series doesn’t change a lot about the original story. However, Nevertheless: The Shapes of Love has a shorter runtime, with only eight episodes, compared to the K-drama, which has 10 episodes that are over an hour long. The J-drama features elements that made Song Kang and Han So-hee’s version so popular, but the Japanese remake has a slightly different tone and aesthetic. Han So-hee also has an impressive TV and film career that includes starring in Gyeongseong Creature, 100 Days My Prince, The World of the Married, and My Name. That being said, Nevertheless is one of the best K-dramas the talented actors have been in.
Both actors have shown that they can handle their own as leads, but Nevertheless is the series that proves why they’re in a class of their own.
The chemistry between Song Kang and Han So-hee is one of the reasons Nevertheless is such a great show because of how they elevate each other.
