Cristiano Bergodi (60 years old) has announced that he wants to prepare a Romanian team again, but his great desire is to train in Italy.
Out of contract since April, when he parted ways with Rapid after losing their first four play-off games, the coach spoke about his future with the Italian press.
“If something comes from Romania, where I feel very good, I will consider an offer, but I will also return to Italy with pleasure. I have gained experience, I have updated, I study. I do not like that I hope for that (not for a return to Italy) “, said Cristiano Bergodi, for TuttoMercatoWeb.com.
During his career, Bergodi coached several teams from Romania: FC Național, CFR Cluj, Rapid (three times), Poli Iași, Steaua, ASA Târgu Mureș, FC Voluntari, Universitatea Craiova and Sepsi.
The Italian coach won two Romanian Cups (both with Sepsi) and two Supercups (one with Rapid, one with Sepsi).
In Italy, Bergodi sat on the technical bench of the Imolese, Sassuolo, Modena, Pescara and Brescia teams.
