In this award, Vinicius beat many great candidates, such as his Madrid teammates, Jude Bellingham, Dani Carvajal, Federico Valverde and Toni Kroos.
He also beat other top players, including Lionel Messi, Rodri, Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe, Florian Wirtz and Lamine Yamal.
Rodri, who previously won the Ballon d’Or, had to settle for second place. Meanwhile, young English midfielder Jude Bellingham finished third.
