Arsenal are reportedly leading Chelsea and Liverpool in the race to sign Egypt international Omar Marmoush from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.
Arsenal are reportedly ahead of Chelsea and Liverpool in the race to sign Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush.
The Egypt international is generating plenty of interest after showcasing his attacking quality with Dino Toppmoller‘s side.
Marmoush, who joined Frankfurt from Wolfsburg in the summer of 2023, scored 17 goals and provided six assists in 41 appearances during his first season with die Adler.
The 25-year-old has only gone from strength to strength during the current campaign, racking up 18 goals and 12 assists in 24 matches in all competitions.
Having netted 13 of those strikes in the league, Marmoush has put himself in second place in the Bundesliga scoring charts, with just one goal separating him from Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane.

Why are Arsenal looking to sign a new attacker?
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was already believed to be keen to sign a new attacker before Bukayo Saka recently suffered a serious hamstring injury.
The England international is set for a significant spell on the sidelines after undergoing hamstring surgery, leaving a huge void in Arsenal’s attacking department.
Saka’s absence only reinforces Arsenal’s need to bolster their attacking depth if they are to seriously compete for trophies.
Marmoush can play out wide if required, but he has been typically used as a centre forward during his time with Frankfurt.
The number nine position is another area that Arsenal need to strengthen, with Arteta only able to call upon Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus as his main striker options.
