With a show full of such twists and turns Way homeIt’s no secret that fans were on the edge of their seats to see what happens in season 3. But luckily, the long-awaited season premiered on Friday, January 3 Feature: (and Jan. 4 on Hallmark+) and it answered some cliffhangers and only added to the mysteries.
To get us started, Season 3 picked up right where Season 2 left off; grown-up Jacob (Spencer McPherson) now returns to his home with Kat (Tyler Lee) help.
“Mom?” Jacob says, and he walks through the door and recognizes his childhood home. “Is that you Jacob?” his mother Del (Andy McDowell) says with tears in his eyes. “How is that possible?”
Knowing how much Del suffered from Jacob’s absence and Colton’s (Jefferson Brown) death, it’s safe to say fans have been rooting for this moment since the beginning. Del needs some good news for a change, right?
Now that Jacob is back, it also means Kat and Alice (Sadie Laflamme-Snow) can no longer hide the pond’s time-traveling abilities from Del. “The pond isn’t just a pond,” Kat tells Mom, relaying her handwritten life story from Elijah (Stuart Hughes), This Is Jacob’s Story.
While Del and Jacob have their long-awaited reunion, Kat races to find Elliot (Evan Williams) announcing Jacob’s return, he lets his love interest, Thomas Coyle (Chris Holden-Reid), fake his death. Of course, Eliot is a bit shocked by the news, but Kat quickly steps in. I choose you,” he says, taking her in his arms. “I choose here and now.” It’s like everything fans always do wished for them.
Another sweet moment happens when Eliot walks into Landry’s house and hugs Jacob. “Oh, I see,” Jacob jokes as Kat kisses him on the cheek. “Took you long enough, Jacob.” can agree more.
Later, while Del and Kat catch their breath on the porch, Del admits that he’s still having trouble wrapping his head around the whole time, “Why didn’t you tell me, Kathryn? Why didn’t you let me in?” he asks his daughter. “Because I didn’t want to hurt you more if I couldn’t bring her home,” he replies.
A scene later, Elliott and the Landrys sit down together and come up with a plan to tell the world about Jacob’s return. Their solution is to lie and say that Jacob is gone, found by an “off-grid” family, and only told the truth on his parent’s deathbed.
Then, amazingly, we got a time jump to “9 months later”.
Nine months later, not only are Kat and Elliot still together (yay!), they’re cute as can be until Kat goes to work, where she opens a novel Susanna Augustine (Watson Rose) wrote about the founding of Port Haven. . “Your name is in print, finally,” he says.
Back at Landry’s house, Dell receives threatening letters: “Your lies are known.” “Time will tell.”
“You need to tell Deli, the police,” her vision says of Colton as she opens it. “Because whoever sends these is right. We are lies. There are holes, someone is hitting them.”
Another major plot point in the first episode is whether or not Colton could time travel. While wandering around Alice’s room, Kat discovers a secret message in one of her father’s books. It says, “No curse on water.” . “Believe in magic. Come to the pond.’
“If Colton had known about the pond all that time, he would have said something,” Elliot says as he and Kat reflect.
As the episode continues, Jacob is also full of moments where Colton tells him not to go in the pond and that he loves Jacob “no matter what happens and no matter what. will happen.” “Don’t ever come here, do you hear me?” he told young Jacob about the pond. “I think Dad knew something about the pond,” Jacob later tells Katie.
Also in this episode, Kat returns to the 1800s on a mission to let Elijah and Susanna know how Jacob is doing. you have to go now,” Susanna snaps back. “You’re coming back here, it has to be over.”
Stunned by the reception, Kat returns to the pond, only to be greeted by Thomas. “You made me feel things for you that day, real things,” he tells her. Did you know you weren’t going to die?’
Then, as viewers might have guessed, Thomas walks in and kisses her. Fortunately, Kat quickly rejects him. “This is impossible, you’re impossible,” she says. “Whatever this is, it’s over.”
To top things off, the episode left us with some interesting cliffhangers. Kat goes to listen to her dad’s old record, only to find Alice singing alongside her in a song you recorded with your father in the 1970s.”
Meanwhile, Alice follows someone she saw running to the pond, where she is immediately pushed in.
