Crowds gather to watch the three kings — Caspar, Balthazar and Melchior — make their way through the streets, accompanied by giant puppets and glittering figures.
Despite the earlier rain, families braved the weather, eager to catch sweets thrown from the royal carriages. Children eagerly await the gifts, while the night reenacts the biblical journey of the Three Kings to deliver the gifts to baby Jesus.
This holiday tradition, which is also celebrated in Latin America, remains the highlight of the holiday season in Spain.
