Invisible Woman is one of the newest characters joining the roster of Marvel Rivals as a Strategist. She is part of the full family of the Fantastic Four, which are all being added to the game during Season 1. Players will hopefully be able to coordinate and create a full team of Fantastic Four heroes to take advantage of any team-up bonuses and work together to win matches.
The new Season 1 heroes in Marvel Rivals are all quite interesting, plus the game is adding a new rank and maps that will expand the game for those who have been dedicated since day 1. It will be fun to see what kind of changes to the various tiers in the meta happen as new heroes and new maps are added. There are balance changes coming as well, meaning that some heroes may see more or less play as time goes on.
All Invisible Woman Abilities
What They Are & How To Use Them
Invisible Woman’s abilities mainly align with her invisibility and shield powers, much like her original version in the comics. Like many Strategists, she has fairly low health that is made up for with an array of health boosts and ways to move around without getting hit. In Early Access, she appeared to have around 275 HP, as well as 10 ammo for her primary ability. She is considered a 4-star difficulty hero to use.

Do you like Reed Richards’ moveset in Marvel Rivals, or does he seem overpowered?
A Marvel Rivals gameplay trailer for Reed Richards’ Mister Fantastic was recently revealed, showing off his entire moveset. Identified as a Duelist character, I can’t help but wonder if he’ll play more like a hybrid Duelist/Vanguard considering the apparent health buff he can give himself. Either way, I’m very excited to play as Mister Fantastic when he arrives to the game on January 10th.
Her abilities are fairly close to other Strategists in Marvel Rivals like Loki and Psylocke. While they all feel unique and true to their character style, they all have ways to move about the map without being seen. Additionally, Cloak’s abilities to shield have some similarities to Invisible Woman’s as well, so if you like any of the above characters, you will like this one as well.
Invisible Woman’s final abilities, HP, and stats may change upon the release of Season 1.
Below are all of her abilities that are known so far:
Ability Name |
Button (PC/PS5) |
Description |
---|---|---|
Basic Attack – Orb Projection |
Left-Click/R2 |
Launch a force field that can pierce heroes, flying to a maximum distance before returning to Invisible Woman; damaging enemies and healing teammates. |
Ultimate – Invisible Boundary |
Q/L3+R3 |
Manifest an unseen force field within a chosen area, rendering allies inside undetectable by enemies and providing Healing Over Time. Enemies that pass through the field are slowed. |
Psionic Vortex |
LShift/L1 |
Gather psionic energy and then cast it, upon hitting a target, scene, or pressing the LShift/L1 key again, it erupts into a psionic vortex, continuously drawing in enemies and causing damage. |
Force Physics |
E/R1 |
Manipulate psionic energy to push or pull enemies in front of you. |
Agile Strike |
V/R3 |
Release a 3-hit combo, the third attack will launch up enemies in front. |
Veiled Step |
Space/X |
Generate a force field at your feet, stepping on it propels you into Invisible State. |
Guardian Shield |
Right-Click/L2 |
Generate a force shield in front of a selected ally. The shield can block damage and provide Healing Over Time to nearby allies. Enemies that pass through the shield are slowed. |
Passive – Covert Advance |
– |
Enter Invisible state some time after disengaging from combat and grant yourself Healing Over Time. |
Team-Up (Passive) – Fantasti-Force |
– |
The Invisible Woman taps into her powers, channeling Psionic Might to fortify the entire Fantastic Four team. This formidable force bolsters Mister Fantastic, granting damage resistance. Once activated, they can continually generate Bonus Health, making up for lost Health with each passing moment. |
As you can see, there are plenty of ways to help your team out. The team-up moves will only be helpful for the other members of Fantastic Four in Marvel Rivals, which is fairly typical with a lot of these moves. Luckily, there will likely be many people interested in forming the family, particularly early on in the Season.
How To Use Invisible Woman’s Ultimate
Making The Most Of Her Ultimate Shield
Invisible Woman’s Ultimate is not as difficult to manage as some others. It’s called Invisible Boundary, and it generates a large forcefield that provides both healing and coverage for the other members of your team. Using it is less tricky than the Ultimate someone like Loki, which makes it fairly easy for newer players to figure out, even with her higher difficulty score.
You just have to press Q, or the equivalent on a controller, and your Ultimate will ask you to confirm. This allows you to aim a little better for where you want the boundary to go, but it will generate around where you aim for it to go. From the inside, you will just see a boundary on the ground. On the outside, it will look like a giant wall.
Other players within your boundary will start healing fast. They will also be invisible to players on the opposing team. This allows everyone to get a slight breather and is likely best used when you are defending a specific area rather than moving somewhere like on a Convoy mission.
Best Team Composition For Invisible Woman
A Winning Team Combination With The Rest Of The Roster
While the obvious answer is going to be the rest of the Fantastic Four, there are other things to consider when building your team. Many times, you won’t have the choice of what kind of team to build, due to the nature of the game. However, there is a strong roster of characters in Marvel Rivals, and if you’re paying attention, you can nudge the team one way or another.
Team members that have strong damage but low HP are going to work very well with Invisible Woman. Anyone who can take advantage of sitting behind a Shield and dishing out high damage will be good as well. Punisher is the best one that comes to mind, as he can set up his turret behind a shield and be protected. A Vanguard character like Venom who already has high HP would also be very good. This is even more advantageous with Groot, who can supplement the shields with his walls.
This team composition would end up something like this:
- Invisible Woman (Strategist)
- Cloak & Dagger (Strategist)
- Groot (Vanguard)
- Venom (Vanguard)
- Punisher (Duelist)
- Mr. Fantastic (Duelist)
Cloak is also a strong healer, but with the current composition listed here, you could swap Cloak & Dagger out for a stronger Duelist. This is more of a balanced team, but Invisible Woman may be able to keep this team alive on her own. Cloak & Dagger in Marvel Rivals also has the advantage of being able to stay on damage if Invisible Woman is keeping everyone alive on her own but flexible enough to help out when needed.
Best Tips, Tricks Strategies For Winning With Invisible Woman
Getting The Victory Every Time
The main thing to keep in mind is that Invisible Woman can move her Guardian Shield from character to character without having to wait for a cooldown. This means that you need to pay enough attention to know who needs the help as needed. In Convoy mode, you can place it on a character who is remaining with the escort.
Additionally, your basic move damages the enemy and heals your friends, allowing you to do both in one move. You will want to stay at a distance behind your tank-like teammates to keep the healing going, as it only heals when it passes your teammates by on the way back to you. Your Ultimate is also one of the best healing moves, quickly bringing everyone back to full HP, slowing any enemies down if they enter the boundary, and making your teammates invisible themselves.

The latest Marvel Rivals developer diary 03 showcases everything to expect from season one, as well as new heroes, balance changes, and a new rank.
The Ultimate move is much better when you are able to be stationary, so keep that in mind. Invisible Woman might be a little less good in a Convoy mission than she is in a more stationary fight. Your Force Physics can also move enemies away from something you are trying to protect, and you can use the Psionic Vortex to trap enemies if they are gathered together.
The big thing to keep in mind is that you have a lot of potential combos with your Invisible status, as the Covert Advance can heal you while Invisible, your Veiled Step can move you closer to the enemy without them seeing you, and the Agile Strike can be a great way to take advantage of both of those before you disengage and move back behind your allies to keep them healthy in Marvel Rivals.
