    Scott Disick Is Wrong, He Wasn’t a Huge Problem for The Kardashian’s

    Scott Disick is claiming that he was a massive problem for the Kar-Jenner clan. While Lord Disick’s behavior may have been more than problematic in the past, it’s not like the Kar-Jenners always treated him the best. In the initial seasons of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Disick and Khloé Kardashian were constantly at loggerheads on the reality series, and the latter even planted a slap across his face. Even when taking into account his and Kourtney Kardashian Barker’s decade-long relationship, the duo were equally guilty for the state of their toxic dynamic.

    Disick was the first guest featured on the debut episode of Khloé’s new podcast Khloé in Wonder Land. The episode, titled “The Lord & The Lady,” aired on January 8, 2024, and featured her sister’s ex-boyfriend. Though Disick’s relationship with her sister has been over for a few years now, the Good American mogul shares a close relationship with Disick, who shares three kids, Mason Dash Disick, Penelope Scotland Disick, and Reign Aston Disick with Kardashian Barker. In the podcast episode, Disick insinuated that he was a problematic member of the famous family — which is not a lie but is also a far-fetched truth. Disick was battling addiction for many years and even lost both his parents along the way. While it’s easy to vilify the father of three for his actions in the past, The Kar-Jenners aren’t exactly saints either.

    At the onset of their relationship, the Kardashian clan gave Disick a hard time because they collectively believed that Kourtney Barker could do better. While there were instances when Disick was unfaithful and emotionally abusive toward Kardashian Barker, the Poosh mogul conveniently overlooked it and continued to grow a family with the Flip It Like Disick star. More notably, when she was expecting her third child, Reign, it was evident that their relationship wasn’t going anywhere. Despite this, due to evident mismanagement in their methods of contraception — which was Kardashian Barker’s responsibility at the time — Disick was put in a situation where he was almost forced into having another child.

    Kardashian Barker also placed Disick in a position where he had to react to the news on camera, which resulted in him coming under fire for his reaction at the time. It must also be noted that the news of the pregnancy came just a few months after Disick had lost both of his parents three months apart. Moreover, the mom of four did bank on his mental instability and addiction by stringing him along with the promise of marriage but never really committing to it. The one time she’d agreed to get married to Disick, during a trip to Las Vegas in 2007, Kris Jenner intervened since she believed the Poosh mogul was rushing into things.

    Scott Disick has checked in and out of rehab umpteen times over the years. A pivotal moment in Disick’s rehab journey calls to question just how supportive Kardashian Barker was of the father of her children at the time, back in 2015. In March 2015, PEOPLE reported that Disick was off to rehab at Rythmia Life Advancement Center (RLAC) in Costa Rica. At the time, Kardashian Barker stood by the father of her kids and believed that he would work on himself. Cut to just four months later, in July 2015, the duo broke up for good after pictures emerged of Disick cozying up to stylist Chloe Bartoli in France. The breakup subsequently landed Disick in rehab a second time that year in October 2015.

    While Disick’s actions are inexcusable, it can’t be ignored that the hot and cold nature of Kardashian Barker’s stance on their tumultuous relationship played a part in the father of the three turning toward alcohol and relapsing. While a large part of checking in to rehab has to do with one’s own free will and perseverance, it’s hard to stomach that a family as influential and wealthy as the Kar-Jenners couldn’t help Disick overcome such a problematic habit. Having been around them for over a decade and seeing family members urging him to seek help yet not leading to a solid recovery until recently makes one question if it was all just a farce.

    Scott Disick Was Excommunicated Despite the Kar-Jenners Being His Only Family

    As soon as KUWTK ended and the Kar-Jenners took their reality TV talent to The Kardashians, one could see that Disick was scarcely featured on the new show. Moreover, after Kardashian Barker’s wedding to Travis Barker in 2022, Lord Disick was distanced from the family he once held near and dear. In an exclusive interview with PageSix on August 26, 2022, a source close to the father of three shared that Disick had been “excommunicated” from the family. The source cited the reason being the Blink-182 drummer and revealed that as a result, Disick has had to “regroup” his relationships.

    This isn’t a surprise since viewers caught a whiff of this in Season 1, Episode 5 of The Kardashians, where Disick confronted Kris for not inviting him to her birthday bash. The momager replied that she didn’t want an awkward situation between Disick and Travis, who she believed to be the Poosh mogul’s soul mate. At the end of the day, deciding whether Scott Disick was a good or bad addition would be too rigid a statement. Over the years, it’s become clear that Lord Disick is a more complex human being who had to play out difficult years of his life on TV while bearing the brunt of fame, image, a toxic relationship, and manipulation that comes along with being associated with the Kar-Jenners.
