There was too much drama on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 not to have a reunion. While some Below Deck franchises had reunions in the past, the shows typically don’t have reunion episodes at the end of every season anymore; Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 was the last from the franchise to have a reunion. Some seasons in the last few years have featured a reunion, but they haven’t been able to include either the whole cast or the whole cast in person.
The end of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 is nearing and is expected to air at the beginning of next month, but with a couple of episodes left, there’s still so much unresolved drama. There are many reasons why the show should have a reunion this season, mostly because of all the tension among the crew that has yet to be discussed.
Gary King Should Have To Take Accountability For The Alleged Sexual Misconduct Claims
He Can’t Get Away With This
Gary King was accused of sexual misconduct by Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 makeup artist Samantha Suarez following an alleged incident during filming in the summer of 2022. Samantha’s role involved escorting cast members to and from their rooms between interview segments and keeping the crew separated before and after interviews. She claimed after filming a confessional interview, she helped a heavily intoxicated Gary back to his hotel room.
According to Samantha, Gary “was behaving erratically,” and later grabbed her from behind, physically restraining her and preventing her from leaving until she managed to break free. Since these allegations came out, Gary has faced virtually no consequences, still appearing on the show as they continue to brush his actions under the rug. A reunion would be the perfect place for him to finally speak out on the allegations.
Daisy, Danni, & Diana Need To Discuss Their Grievances With Each Other
They Still Have No Resolution
Throughout Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, Diana Cruz and Danni Warren’s frustrations with Daisy Kelliher continued to mount. Both Stews were dissatisfied with their roles early on, with Diana particularly upset about being asked to practice her bartending skills between charters. Danni and Diana also voiced complaints about the uneven workload, feeling their long hours were unfair, but Daisy dismissed their complaints and attributed them to their lack of experience in the high-pressure environment.
As the season progressed, Danni became frustrated with Daisy’s leadership and blamed her for a charter with unhappy guests. Danni believed Daisy’s negative attitude was affecting her performance and diminishing her motivation, so she decided it was time for a conversation. She pulled Daisy aside between charters to voice her concerns, and while Diana was notably absent from it, Danni made it clear she was speaking on her behalf as well.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht star Diana Cruz called out Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher for her poor behvaior, making it clear her unprofessionalism isn’t okay.
This discussion was crucial in order to deal with the dysfunction within the interior team, but it didn’t resolve the tension. Both Danni and Daisy felt justified in their positions, and though they reconciled for the sake of professionalism, Daisy was furious over what she saw as Danni’s disrespect for her authority. They need a chance to talk things through once and for all at the reunion.
Captain Glenn Likely Has A Lot To Say About Gary & Daisy’s Behavior This Season
He’s Over Their Antics
Despite being on a reality show, Captain Glenn Shephard is not a fan of drama. He has been in the yachting industry for over 22 years and has been the captain of the Parsifal III for 13, making him a professional in all things superyachts. Despite his disdain for drama, however, it still seems to follow him around, particularly when Gary and Daisy are in the mix.

A recent episode showed guests on the Parsifal III complaining to Captain Glenn right before leaving the yacht, which led to the captain confronting Daisy, who stormed off before coming back to finish the discussion. In addition to his allegations, Gary has also admitted his drinking is a problem, though it doesn’t seem like he’s trying too hard to fix it. Captain Glenn likely has a lot of thoughts about both of these cast members, which he should be able to air out at the reunion.
Below Deck Sailing Yacht airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EST on Bravo.
