A manager of Romsilva received a pension bonus of “10 gross salaries”, i.e. 500,000 lei, the equivalent of 100,000 euros, according to the disclosure made by the Minister of the Environment, Mircea Fechet, to Digi24.
“In the collective labor contract it was agreed that after retirement you will receive 10 gross salaries, taken in net amount. There are people in the National Forestry Authority of Romsilva who, after retirement, according to the legal collective labor contract discussed with the union, with the board of directors, with the executive management, but in accordance with that collective labor contract, the respective person, after retirement, received 500,000 lei “, declared Minister Mircea Fechet in the program “In front of you” from Digi24.
The Minister of the Environment also said that “in the collective labor agreement, after long negotiations between the union and the executive direction of the National Forestry Authority, it was agreed that after retirement you will receive 10 salaries, and “this happens in others too. authority”.
“You have one, you have two, you have nine. What is more hallucinating is the fact that the 10 salaries, if you quote me the respective formulation from memory: 10 gross salaries taken in the net amount. And I said: you could say 20 salaries, which at least we talked honestly with others. How to say that 10 gross salaries taken in net amount? I asked a week ago the list of these benefits obtained by the former employees of the direction,” he added.
Sources from the Ministry of the Environment stated for Antenna 3 CNN that the one who received this first amount is Teodor Èšigan, former director of the forestry department of Arad and former director general of Romsilva in the period 2020-2022.
Romsilva’s reaction
The National Directorate of Forests confirmed, in a response to Digi24, that until now employees have received a premium “between 2 and 10 gross salaries” at the time of retirement, calculated according to seniority in the institution. This legal provision was previously provided for in the Collective Labor Agreement.
The regulation also states that “the beneficiary pays, for these amounts, all taxes, fees and legal contributions, like any other salary income”.
From 2025 these bonuses have been canceled, and in 2024 the value of these bonuses will decrease by 60%, Romsilva said.
However, Romsilva does not mention the exact amounts that have been awarded in total over time for these bonuses.
