All brands of the Volkswagen group will be involved in a marketing campaign through which the German company tries to resume the sale of electric cars, reveals the data analyzed by Profit.ro. The move comes at a difficult time for the car industry, where much tougher CO2 emissions targets come into effect on January 1, 2025, requiring massive sales of electric cars.
The risk of paying huge fines has led the Volkswagen Group to think of a communication campaign to fight against the lethargy and lack of interest of Europeans towards electric cars, after in the first years they seemed very attractive. As VW announces, the information campaign “will address the benefits and drawbacks towards electric mobility”.
The German manufacturer also reveals which target groups are targeted: retail and fleet customers, employees, dealers and the media, and the messages focus on the main elements of the advantages of an electric car , from everyday use to battery performance and comfort.
