23 TV stars and influencers answered the challenge Media Page and offer an answer to the question: “Why should people watch TV anymore, when there are so many alternatives?”. The famous TV producer Teo Trandafir says that television is not “the Romanian Academy”, but there are still “some misfortunes” in TikTok.
“It’s not as if TV is the Roman Academy, but I’ve watched TikTok and I’ve seen some misfortunes and things where people shoot themselves in the head, break bones, fill hospitals with children. I mean that’s something bad. On YouTube, I see on demand, on my request. If you hear a song I Shazam it, “said Teo Trandafir, who currently produces the show “Follow Us” on Kanal D2, together with Ilinca Vengeance
Ioana Cosma, creator of the “Sport Toc&Talk” podcast, says that to inform us we have to use traditional media, but also sees the advantages of TikTok.
“I think we need to keep looking, I insist on the traditional media, the mainstream media, to inform. It is true that you have to visit the places, see everywhere and extract the information you want. And TikTok, for example, it’s a network that I see as a network that helps us occupy our limited time, for example in the subway,” he explained.
Andrea Corb, an influencer with 1.5 million followers on TikTok, says she is “a supporter of platforms, not TV” because “we don’t have attention anymore, our attention span is not enough anymore big”.
Andrei Duban: “TikTok, YouTube, etc. are the biggest brainwashing traps”
Cosmin Cernat, Kanal D news presenter, says that it is not so important the platform, but the quality of the information.
“I’ll say this: as long as we have quality content, you can put it on the radio, you can put it on TV, you can put it online,” said Cosmin Cernat.
Andrei Duban, creator of “Bank Show”, on Prima Comedy, says that social networks are “the biggest traps for brainwashing”.
“I tell you with my hand on my heart, TikTok, YouTube, etc. are the biggest brainwashing traps. It’s not that TV isn’t there, but here you can always select things that help your brain, which will help your personal development,” said the comedian.
