Sucevan police opened a criminal case against a woman who found the sum of 4,000 euros in the pocket of a coat that was donated to her two weeks ago.
According to IPJ Suceva officials, the one who donated the coat is an 88-year-old woman from the municipality of Suceava. He called 112 about two weeks after making the donation, writes Agerpres.
The recipient of the coat, a 64-year-old woman, also from the municipality of the county seat, went to the donor’s house, where she took the coat.
“After about two weeks, the donor remembered that she had deposited in the donated coat the amount of about 4,000 euros that she had collected over time. Telephone contact was made with the beneficiary, on which occasion the ultime specified the fact that she had actually received the bond from the claimant, but discovered the amount of money by accident. In the case, a criminal file was drawn up in which the investigations were carried out under the aspect of committing the crime of misappropriation of the goods found or obtained by mistake by the author”, said the representatives of IPJ Suceava.
